Job Detail
  • Ability to pull wire, install EMT, Rigid or PVC conduit, install panels and necessary connections.
  • Install control systems utilizing job mechanical/electrical plans and control drawings.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of electrical construction materials and control equipment required to install an HVAC automation controls system.
  • understanding HVAC and DDC control system schematics, control wiring, control components, and HVAC systems.
  • Work with other trades to coordinate the installation of the HVAC automation controls system.
  • Install systems based on verbal direction from supervisors.
  • Responsible for startup commissioning and troubleshooting of the control system with supervision.
  • Train and supervise apprentices, delegating when necessary.
  • Work safely in a construction jobsite environment following the company’s safety policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Available for local travel. Qualifications: The minimum of a high school diploma or a two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics, Or Construction.
  • Other technical experience such as military, or other construction experience
  • The ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • State of Nebraska Journeyman’s license.
  • Must have driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills, Building automation systems are complex and can involve troubleshooting intricate issues that arise from the interaction of different systems. This demands strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently. Looking for candidates with strong motivation and drive. Language Skills: Must be able to effectively present and receive information in English, both formally and informally. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, architectural drawings, construction documentation and electrical diagrams. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to attend and interact successfully in job progress meetings internally and externally to the organization.
  • Other Skills: Must be familiar with commercial mechanical and/or access systems and control applications. Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of construction practices. Ability to work closely with others and practice productive people skills including coaching and training.

Local area travel is required, and normal urban and rural traffic hazards exist. Work occasionally takes place at construction or job sites where normal construction hazards exist, including work near moving mechanical parts, work in high and precarious places, and the risk of electrical shock.
