  • Position Description: The Tier 1 HVAC Apprentice learns the foundational principles of HVAC systems, assisting senior technicians in maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC systems. Apprentices develop basic technical skills, including voltage and amperage reading, basic maintenance, and use of diagnostic tools. Key Learning Areas: Basic refrigeration cycle and application Voltage reading Amperage reading Basic maintenance Basic electric Safety and safety equipment videos Proper work attire How to use basic hand tools How to use basic functions of a multi-meter How to use a refrigerant manifold gauge How to read PT chart and understanding refrigerants types Be able to identify refrigeration components Proper use of basic hand tools Requirements: Minimum age of 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent.
