Job Detail
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction settings using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts and modifications.
  • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity.
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes in industrial environments.
  • Conduct renovations by updating or replacing existing electrical wiring and fixtures to meet current safety standards.
  • Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and general contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on construction sites or within operational facilities.
  • Assist with schematic reading to understand complex electrical systems thoroughly.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support maintenance person tasks related to electrical needs across various projects as required.

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation projects.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installations and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage wiring. familiarity with NEC standards is required.
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers. power tools including drills and saws are also necessary.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use testing instruments like ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues effectively.
  • Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and hazard awareness.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with previous experience in renovation projects or construction environments preferred.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills coupled with schematic interpretation capabilities.
  • Basic frame carpentry or maintenance person experience is a plus for supporting miscellaneous tasks around job sites.
  • Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations. additional certifications related to high voltage work are advantageous.
