Job Detail
  • Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
  • Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
  • Works from construction drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
  • Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Uses a variety of electrician’s hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Troubleshoots and evaluates electrical systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Accountable For: The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used.
  • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
  • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
  • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
  • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
  • Having the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Job Requirements:
  • Mandatory: Three (3) years’ experience in electrical maintenance work.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, bend conduits, troubleshoot, repair motors and controls, and install and repair AC and DC equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of switches, transformers, and transformer hook‑ups.
  • Ability to complete OSHA 30-Hour Training for General Industry within 120-calendar days of hire.
  • Must have ability to work on electrical equipment located at various heights
  • Must have and maintain hand tools of the trade to perform the normal work of the classifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required.
  • Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.
  • Valid class C state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must possess the ability to perform assigned work tasks without more than normal supervision.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • U.S. Citizenship. Preferred: Fall Protection Certificate (Ability to obtain within 120 calendar days of hire).
  • Arc Flash Safety Training (Ability to obtain within 120 calendar days of hire).
  • Low Voltage Training (Ability to obtain within 120 calendar days of hire).
  • Genie Lift Certification (Ability to obtain within 120 calendar days of hire). Reasonable Accommodation:
