  • JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS LICENSE REQUIRED All applicants are required to have a Journeyman Electricians license with the State of Alaska to be hired into the above position. A conditional hire approval can be given for those applicants who are licensed in a state who has entered a reciprocal agreement with the State of Alaska. An applicant qualifying under this option may receive a job offer conditional upon successfully obtaining an Electricians license with the State of Alaska within 90 days and may begin work only AFTER obtaining and showing proof of the license. COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE REQUIRED This position requires the incumbent to possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) per federal regulations (49 CFR 383), to register with the federal CDL Drug Alcohol Testing Clearinghouse prior to performing safety sensitive duties, and to provide consent to the Employer to review driver information in accordance with 49 CFR 382. A Class A Alaska Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for this position. A conditional hire approval can be given to applicants that do not yet possess a Class A CDL. This means that the proposed appointee must successfully obtain a Class A CDL within 180 days of hire and sign an agreement to this effect as a condition of employment.
  • DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PUBLIC FACILITIES DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY Selected candidates must comply with the DOTPF Drug and Alcohol Policy and procedures and CANNOT start work in a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) position until Management Services or designee has received confirmation of the proposed appointee passing the required Pre-Employment drug test.
