- Lead and supervise the automotive service department, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs, maintenance, and auto restoration projects with precision and efficiency.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to perform auto body repairs, mechanical work, and other automotive services safely and effectively.
- Manage scheduling for technicians and service advisors to optimize workflow and meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, parts used, and service history for each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of auto parts, tools, and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to team members on complex repairs involving automotive repair techniques and vehicle maintenance best practices.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement, skill development, and exceptional customer service.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair estimates, timelines, and service recommendations to enhance satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels for auto parts and tools. coordinate procurement as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
- Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with extensive knowledge of automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, and auto restoration processes.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment in a professional setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Prior experience managing or supervising an automotive service team is highly desirable.
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and workflow management.
