Job Detail
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, gasoline engines, transmissions, and related systems when needed
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate service records and assist with parts inventory management
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and technicians regarding repair status and timelines
- Monitor shop performance metrics and implement improvements
- Manage schedules including regular, vacation and ‘peaks’ in operations to create efficiencies in overtime
- Manage our PA Inspection Station and inspection mechanics
- Manage our Fueling Station and gain a Class A Operator License for USTs and Fueling
- Assist in growing our Fleet services to outside companies
- Manage and maintain our on-hand parts and suppliers
- What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience (heavy-duty truck, bus, or equipment preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with modern diesel engines and electronic systems
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to foster a positive, productive team environment
- Familiarity with shop management software a plus
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
