Who we are:we’re a wholesale oregon propagation nursery that specializes in liners of rare and unusual deciduous plants for garden centers and other wholesale nurseries.
Salary Detail
$25.00 – $30.03 an hour
Experience
Work Background of 20 Years+ is required
Qualifications
Diploma in releted field is required
Job Detail
- Basic Mechanic skills (changing oil, tires, belts)
- Minimum 18(18) years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Preferred:
- Farm mechanic experience
- Construction experience
- Agricultural experience
- Maintenance experience (hand tools, welder, basic electrical, small motor)
- Employer Notes:
- All hands-on Mechanic work, ability to order parts if needed and work with vendors and contractors.
- Employer conducts a drug test and DMV records check prior to first day of employment
- Qualified applicants will be safety oriented and demonstrate independent problem-solving skills, judgement, and ability to remain on task with only basic supervision.
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Job duties:
- Equipment maintenance (preventive and repair)
- Tractor driving (trainable skid-steer, excavator)
- Forklift operation
- Field spraying
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards
- Logistics planning (arrange and coordinate the movement of tractors in between work sites)
- Commitment to company goals
- Any other duties as assigned
- The vast majority of our employees speak Spanish, including the operators of equipment that will be serviced. The ability to speak Spanish will make the job easier, however translation is available.
