Job Detail
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs on a variety of equipment including heavy machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicles such as tractor-trailers and forklifts
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and alignment services
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques
- Repair transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks struts, and other mechanical components
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Skills
- Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or industrial background preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency in fabricating parts using welding and soldering techniques
- Experience working with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy machinery
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery
- Knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, diesel engines, shocks struts
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to automotive or industrial equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with clients or team members
