Job Detail
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar models.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections on air brake systems, HVAC, and electrical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Weld and fabricate parts as necessary to repair or enhance equipment functionality.
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery during repair processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols.
- Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel mechanics.
- Proficiency in working with Caterpillar engines is a plus.
- Ability to perform welding tasks and basic fabrication work.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, air brakes, and electrical components in heavy machinery.
- Experience operating cranes or similar heavy equipment is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
