Job Detail
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical shorts, rewire lights, and address ABS system issues.
- Perform brake installations and brake adjustments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct seal replacements and repack bearings as needed.
- Mount and dismount tires, inspect for wear, and perform necessary replacements.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM), including inspections and replacements of airbags and bushings.
- Utilize a stick welder for minor welding repairs.
- Operate a mule for moving trailers and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company and DOT regulations.
- Requirements:
- Must have own tools.
- Prior experience as a diesel or trailer mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, brakes, tires, preventive maintenance, welding, and suspension components.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
