Job Detail
- This position is responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of industrial commercial parts and construction equipment to customer locations
- Must adhere to company safety regulations as well as state and federal laws
- Ensures the truck trailer and securement is safe to travel before leaving shop or customer site
- Ensure truck and trailer are labeled, flagged, etc. for the load being hauled
- Rental equipment will be picked up, loaded, and returned to vendor
- Inspects trucks, trailers, and equipment before hauling and collaborates with mechanics to perform required repairs and maintenance
- Maintains daily driver hours of service logs
- Supports construction crews on site as needed to complete the job
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid CDL Class A and DOT medical certificate
- Must not have any traffic convictions defined by FMCSA that would disqualify a CDL
- Must be ability to operate, load, secure and haul heavy equipment
- Working knowledge of construction equipment including cranes, lifts, carry decks, etc.
- Flexibility for last minute schedule changes, location changes, times of shifts. Overtime and out of town work may be required.
- Maintain a courteous and professional manner with vendors, customers, and coworkers
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions
- This position requires the physical ability to reach, stand, stoop, kneel, climb and sit for extended periods of time.
