Job Detail
- In the area of assignment of Equipment Operator, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be required within 6(6) months of employment.
- Pay Grade 10H Hourly Rate: $15.4913 Typical Duties and Responsibilities Transportation Worker 1 – Equipment Operator Operate a light truck or vehicle.
- Operate a fork truck to load and unload trucks.
- May operate Endloader, Skid Steer, Rollers, Utility Tractor, and Bruch Chipper.
- Control brush and vegetation using hand tools and other equipment.
- Plow snow using a light truck.
- Perform minor maintenance on fleet of equipment and vehicles.
- Transport fuel to equipment.
- Answer teleph1and radio calls during snow removal and ice control.
- Flags traffic at construction sites.
- Travel may be required. therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
- A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be required within 6(6) months of employment.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of general safety procedures.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles and other motor driven equipment.
- Knowledge of the operation of motor driven equipment.
- Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in the repair of motor driven equipment Ability to diagnose minor mechanical problems and determine appropriate procedures for repair.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and writ10instructions.
- Ability to learn from example and work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to maintain routine records (timecards, repair work orders).

- REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION No formal education required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE This is the entry level classification in this series. No prior experience is required.
