Job Detail
  • In the area of assignment of Equipment Operator, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be required within 6(6) months of employment.
  • Pay Grade 10H Hourly Rate: $15.4913 Typical Duties and Responsibilities Transportation Worker 1 – Equipment Operator Operate a light truck or vehicle.
  • Operate a fork truck to load and unload trucks.
  • May operate Endloader, Skid Steer, Rollers, Utility Tractor, and Bruch Chipper.
  • Control brush and vegetation using hand tools and other equipment.
  • Plow snow using a light truck.
  • Perform minor maintenance on fleet of equipment and vehicles.
  • Transport fuel to equipment.
  • Answer teleph1and radio calls during snow removal and ice control.
  • Flags traffic at construction sites.
  • Travel may be required. therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be required within 6(6) months of employment.
  • Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles and other motor driven equipment.
  • Knowledge of the operation of motor driven equipment.
  • Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in the repair of motor driven equipment Ability to diagnose minor mechanical problems and determine appropriate procedures for repair.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and writ10instructions.
  • Ability to learn from example and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to maintain routine records (timecards, repair work orders).
  • Minimum Requirements
