Job overview we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented assistant cemetery manager to support the daily operations and maintenance of our cemetery grounds.

Job Detail
- Assist in overseeing the maintenance and beautification of cemetery grounds, including lawns, gardens, and pathways
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and watering using hand tools and power tools
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Conduct routine lawn care activities including fertilizing, aerating, and pest control
- Operate landscaping equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Support with the installation and upkeep of headstones, monuments, and memorial markers
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing debris, trash, and ensuring proper disposal
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and special projects
- Assist in supervising seasonal planting and horticultural activities to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the cemetery
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all groundskeeping activities
- Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care techniques, and landscaping practices
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of groundskeeping equipment maintenance
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cemetery grounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Experience with land management or cemetery operations is a plus but not required
