Job Detail
- Conduct and document detailed weekly inspections of irrigation systems.
- Monitor, test, and evaluate new irrigation installations.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on irrigation systems, including valves, piping, and controllers.
- Maintain full ownership of irrigation system operations, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and optimal plant health.
- Adjust controllers as needed to minimize water waste, comply with water restrictions, and align with seasonal conditions.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to meet quality standards and production goals.
- Train maintenance crew members on identifying issues and performing basic irrigation repairs.
- Assist with bid preparation and cost estimates for irrigation-related projects.
- Monitor tools, equipment, and machinery, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant job sites, including adherence to PPE requirements.
- Complete safety checks, incident reports, and participate in safety training.
- Ensure all work meets industry and company standards.
- Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a commercial Irrigation Technician.
- Strong ability in working independently while also collaborating effectively to drive department and company success.
- Proficiency in irrigation system installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience with recycled water systems (preferred).
- Certified Backflow Tester (preferred. additional pay available for certifications).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. must be insurable by company insurance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Preferred)
