Job Detail
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
- Execute residential painting projects with precision, including wall coatings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
- Manage industrial truck painting tasks involving small parts to full size trucks.
- Conduct maintenance on tools and equipment regularly to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
- Collaborate with painters and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations critical to project accuracy.
- Assist with construction estimating by providing accurate assessments of materials needed for painting projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Hands-on experience with commercial and industrial painting projects across various construction sites.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (airless sprayers, drills), and specialized equipment such as welding machines when necessary.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
- Ability to perform construction site tasks confidently with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise application of coatings.
