Job Detail
  • Prepare metal parts and components for coating by cleaning, masking, and handling materials with care using hand tools and materials handling equipment.
  • Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers, ensuring even application of coatings.
  • Set up and adjust spray guns, nozzles, and other machinery to achieve precise coating thicknesses using precision measuring instruments.
  • Manage the movement of parts within the production line using forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality checks on coated items using basic math skills and inspection tools to verify coverage, thickness, and finish quality.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by following industrial painting and auto painting procedures, including proper disposal of overspray and waste materials.
  • Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as needed, utilizing welding, machining, or hand tools to support production goals.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and maintaining efficient workflow.
  • Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment and tools to ensure optimal operation.
  • Document coating processes, inspections, and any issues encountered during shifts for accurate record keeping.
  • Skills
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other industrial equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving machining, fabrication, auto body repair, or auto painting.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality control and assembly tasks.
  • Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including powder coating, auto painting, construction painting, and auto body repair processes.
  • Ability to handle materials safely with proper materials handling techniques. familiarity with warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for measuring coating thicknesses and calculating material usage accurately.
  • Experience with welding or fabrication processes is advantageous for supporting production needs.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction within the workflow.
  • Comfortable working with power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, and spray equipment in a fast-paced setting.
