• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools.
• Prepare roofing surfaces by cleaning, removing debris, and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers.
• Carry materials such as shingles, plywood, metal sheets, and other supplies to work areas safely and efficiently.
• Support the framing process by handling carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed.
• Use schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and adherence to project specifications.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with other construction tasks such as caulking, stucco application, masonry work, or tile laying when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
• Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents on-site and promote a safe working environment for every1involved.
• Collaborate with team members on restoration projects or remodeling jobs requiring masonry, plumbing, welding or fabrication skills.
• Qualifications
• Prior experience in construction site work or general labor roles is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with roofing techniques, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, or construction estimating is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels. power tools including drills, saws, grinders. and heavy equipment handling skills.
• Knowledge of various trades like carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry, plumbing, welding or tile laying enhances your versatility on-site.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout the day.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and adherence to OSHA standards during all phases of work.
