Job Detail
- Assist with the preparation of concrete forms and frameworks using carpentry and metal stud framing techniques.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other power tools to ensure efficient mixing and placement of concrete.
- Install rebar and mesh reinforcement according to schematics and blueprints to strengthen concrete structures.
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces with precision using hand tools and specialized finishing equipment.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications for accurate execution.
- Support heavy lifting tasks with proper techniques to ensure safety and efficiency on-site.
- Conduct site inspections for quality control, ensuring proper curing, surface smoothness, and adherence to project standards.
- Assist with masonry work including stucco, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when required for material handling or placement.
- Perform demolition or removal of old structures during renovation or restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and materials after use.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience is highly preferred. familiarity with concrete work is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with rebar installation, form building, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, masonry, welding or roofing is advantageous.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities on-site.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be required depending on project needs.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as concrete pumping or schematics interpretation as part of professional development.
