Job Detail
- Measure, cut, and install various siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, metal, or stucco with accuracy and attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation procedures
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and caulking guns to secure siding components effectively
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and nail guns safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and framing structures using carpentry skills such as framing carpentry and metal stud framing
- Perform heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials while maintaining safety protocols
- Apply finishing techniques like trim carpentry and caulking to achieve a polished look
- Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously to maintain a secure work environment at all times
- Assist with other exterior restoration or remodeling tasks as needed, including masonry or tile laying projects
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and material procurement
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in siding installation
- Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety standards and protocols
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with roofing, stucco application, masonry work, plumbing integration, and welding techniques is a plus
- Skilled in framing carpentry, trim carpentry, heavy lifting, and concrete forming methods
- Knowledge of schematics for various building systems enhances installation precision
- Experience in restoration projects or remodeling adds value to your skill set
- Maintenance Person experience broadens your versatility on diverse job sites
- Capable of performing metal stud framing and working with different exterior materials such as masonry or stucco
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining endurance throughout long workdays
