Job Detail
  • Lead and oversee construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Perform various carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors and windows, cabinets, finishing work, flooring, siding, decking, and more.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Efficiently resolve on-site issues.
  • Follow site plans, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Mentor and develop junior carpenters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and laborers on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Northwoods Builders’ standards and client expectations. Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in the residential construction industry, with at least 2 years as a lead carpenter or project manager.
  • Extensive experience in residential construction carpentry (frame-to-finish carpentry, home improvements, etc.), with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • General knowledge of other building trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) to coordinate job site activities.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic, high level of integrity, and eagerness to train and teach.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and tools.
  • Available to work full-time with the flexibility to work after hours if needed.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Fluency in English. proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus. Salary and Benefits: Full-time
