Job Detail
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform service calls for residential and commercial clients, ensuring timely resolution of HVAC/R problems.
- Conduct equipment repair using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance projects.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed.
- Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of HVAC equipment and improve system efficiency.
- Operate field service vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Work on ammonia refrigeration systems when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with knowledge of HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including equipment repair, boiler operation, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and property maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction practices related to HVAC installation projects.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment.
- Welding skills are a plus for certain repair tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid <.PERSON>. driver’s license for field service operations.
