Job Detail
- Install, service, and repair air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and related HVAC equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components to ensure peak performance.
- Conduct field service operations including troubleshooting electrical controls using tools such as ohmmeters, replacing faulty components, welding damaged parts, and calibrating equipment for optimal operation.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving plumbing systems or appliance repairs related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
- Utilize technical knowledge of property maintenance to coordinate repairs efficiently while minimizing downtime.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely—such as welding gear—and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, schematics updates, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with HVAC/R system design modifications or upgrades to improve efficiency or meet new standards.
- Support property management teams by providing expert advice on system improvements or emergency repairs.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly as a <.PERSON>. driver when required for on-site visits or client support.
- Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role within construction or property management environments.
- Strong background in HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (especially ammonia refrigeration), boilers, plumbing systems, and appliance repair.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical drawings. familiar with HVAC design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting with ohmmeters, and general field service operations.
- Experience working with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs or upgrades efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with boiler systems and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate specialized tools safely and effectively in diverse environments.
