Job Detail
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings, including low voltage and high voltage wiring
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations accurately
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical components to support automation systems
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local electrical codes
- Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to coordinate electrical work within project timelines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with knowledge of industrial electrician practices preferred
- Strong background in construction site work, renovation projects, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Construction site experience is essential for understanding project workflows and safety procedures
- Maintenance Person experience or frame carpentry skills are a plus for versatile project support
- Valid relevant licensing or certification as an electrician is required or preferred depending on jurisdiction
