Job Detail
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential environments.
- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and power tools to perform installations and repairs efficiently.
- Test electrical systems using instruments like pencil tester and a continuitytester to diagnose issues precisely.
- Work safely with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing safety compliance.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades.
- Document all work performed through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, including proper handling of high voltage systems and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential settings. construction site experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes such as the NEC (National Electrical Code) and safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g, screwdrivers, wire strippers), power tools (e.g, drills), pencil testers, and other testing instruments.
- Experience working with low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage applications.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams effectively for installation or troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with construction processes including framing carpentry to coordinate electrical installations seamlessly within building projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
