• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment to transport fr8over designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate tools such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring securement according to safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and route planning tools, adapting to traffic conditions to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, including hours-of-service regulations.
• Handle various types of fr8including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tanker liquids, or other specialized cargo requiring specific handling procedures.
• Requirements
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers. experience with manual transmission is preferred.
• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on fr8delivery. prior experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to load unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual methods. familiarity with fr8handling equipment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation tools to optimize delivery times.
• Ability to operate various truck types including dump trucks or roll-off trucks as needed for specific loads.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance. familiarity with commercial driving regulations is essential.
• Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and handle cargo that may require lifting or maneuvering heavy items.
