bits to atoms has partnered with solideon to fill its cnc machinist role. to learn more about solideon, you can review their website here.. company overview:solideon is a leader in advanced manufacturing, leveraging robotics and proprietary technologyto build autonomous micro-factories capable of producing, assembling, and inspecting entirestructures without human intervention. we aim to push the boundaries of manufacturing toshape a future where technology and humanity intersect.. position overview:the cnc machinist will play a key role in supporting the ongoing r&d and production efforts.you’ll report to the head of engineering and will work in the machine shop to develop requisiteone-off parts to assist across projects, and be instrumental in the fabrication of customhardware. this role is ideal for someone experienced in automated systems, manufacturing,and metrology with a passion for innovation.. responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as routers, grinding, milling, etc
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Maintain quality control documents and update setup information
- Ensure that everyone within the machine shop is operating within specified parameters and safety standards
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
- Fabricate, assemble, test, inspect, and maintain production tools and systems
- Machine parts using detailed drawings and CAD models
- Assist with the development of robotics-enabled machining functions
- Fabricate and build custom structures using steel, aluminum, wood and other common materials
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge and experience reading and designing CAD and CAM systems - Proficiency in reading engineering prints, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Demonstrated experience working with CNC machines
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Skills: Welding, Metal Fabrication, or Construction - Experience writing PLC code and programming CNC machines
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or other quality manufacturing processes
