Job Detail
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues
- Repair, replace, and adjust vehicle components and systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles
- Conduct road tests to ensure repaired vehicles are functioning properly
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle problems and repairs needed
- Collaborate with the team to problem solve and ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in diesel technology and attend training programs as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent- Previous experience as an diesel technician or similar role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty truck systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ASE certifications preferred, but not required
