Job Detail
  • All shifts Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

    Job Summary

    Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles, including forklifts, container handlers, etc
  • Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repair work in the shop
  • Prioritize work orders, comply with safety incident reporting, and ensure all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain company-provided assets, including all work tools


  • Essential Functions

    Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize equipment downtime and initiate estimates for shop repairs
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance, including standard inspections, repair and replace defective parts, lubricate parts, and repair electrical equipment
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in factory specifications
  • Review repair work and scheduled maintenance results with customers, communicating any potential issues
  • Responsible for quoting and communicating services to customers
  • Utilize the Mobile Service application to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, finalize jobs, and mark them as complete
  • Provide daily status updates to the dispatchers and review any customer issues or concerns with the dispatcher and account manager


  • Position Qualifications

    EDUCATION

    High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred


  • Requirements

    2 years of experience in a technician role
  • Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics
  • Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner
