about us: vessel vanguard is a leading provider of marine maintenance and operations management software. our platform helps yacht owners, naval organizations, and fleet operators (including ferry and commercial vessels) track maintenance, compliance, and equipment data in one easy-to-use system.we’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive team member to assist with setting up vessels in our system for new and existing clients.position summary: as a vessel setup specialist, you’ll play a key role in configuring vessels in our proprietary software. clients provide make and model information for all onboard equipment. your responsibility will be to research the corresponding equipment manuals, upload that data, and build out customized maintenance schedules based on the manufacturer’s recommendations. this ensures our clients can access accurate, ready-to-use maintenance plans through their vessel vanguard accounts.this is a part-time, in-person position—ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with detailed information.key responsibilities:

Job Detail
  • Build out vessels in the Vessel Vanguard systems for new and existing clients
  • Review client-provided equipment lists and verify make/model accuracy
  • Research and source manufacturer manuals and technical documents
  • Configure maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations
  • Upload manuals, service intervals, and vessel detail data into the system
  • Double-check for accuracy and completeness before finalizing each vessel setup
  • Communicate with team members to clarify data gaps or inconsistencies
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency to meet setup timelines
  • Qualifications / Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to follow structured processes while working efficiently
  • Comfortable using software tools, managing uploads, and navigating web systems
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Prior knowledge of marine or mechanical equipment terminology is helpful, but not required
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a small, collaborative environment
