Job Detail
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas engines, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on oilfield and rig equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Replace and repair components such as valves, seals, hoses, and fittings
- Maintain accurate service records and equipment logs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards
- Travel to field sites as needed for on-site repairs or maintenance
Qualifications
2 years of experience as a mechanic in oilfield, heavy equipment, or industrial settings- Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines (Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit preferred)
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards
Preferred Skills
Welding and fabrication experience- Knowledge of ordering and measuring specific parts such as valves, stems, and seals
- Field service experience in oil and gas environments
- Diesel & gas engine knowledge (Cummins required)
- Parts identification, measurement, and inventory management
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Communication and teamwork
