Job Description
Job Summary:
This position will assist in general maintenance and repairs on interior and exterior of swine facilities
Duties/Responsibilities
Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (including feed systems, crates, gating, heating, ventilation)
Performs routine maintenance on building systems
Completes a daily record of tasks, miles driven, inventory used, and time spent on preparation for future work
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
Knowledge of general construction and repair
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL
Occasional travel required as needed
Education And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Gas And Electrical Experience Preferred
Related experience preferred
On-the-job training offered
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods standing and walking
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
