company description franzenburg is a full-service centrifuge company based in a 60,000 sq. ft. facility in des moines, iowa, specializing in centrifuge sales, rebuilds, and aftermarket parts for various models. with extensive experience in optimizing centrifuge efficiency, franzenburg is known for delivering high-quality work, fast turnaround times, and exceptional customer service. we have a strong presence in the ethanol and biofuels industry and serve customers across over 40 states in diverse industries such as wastewater treatment, solids control, animal rendering, and edible fats and oils. our team takes a comprehensive approach to ensure optimal centrifuge performance, addressing process, mechanics, and electrics for efficient operations.. role description this is a full-time hybrid role for a service technician, located in des moines, ia, with the flexibility for occasional work from home. the service technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on centrifuges, conducting field service and on-site visits, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support. the role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and active communication to meet performance goals and exceed customer expectations.. qualifications
- Proven expertise in Maintenance, Repair, and Troubleshooting
- Experience in Field Service operations with the ability to provide on-site support
- Class A must be achievable within 6 months
- Strong Customer Service skills and a commitment to client satisfaction
- Understanding of mechanical processes, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices
- Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical training in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel for field service assignments
- Familiarity with the ethanol and biofuels industry or similar industrial sectors is advantageous ~
