Job Detail
  • Set up daily sensory sessions on commercial products and log results
  • Test samples for texture and viscosity
  • Review routine documentation for acceptability
  • Escalate any out-of-specification results
  • Communicate product releases to cross-functional teams
    Document Organization and Storage (25%) Maintain and update quality documentation
  • Assist in updating procedures and specifications
  • Ensure completed documentation is checked into the system
    Sample Receipt, Logging, and Storage (25%) Verify sample arrivals and notify if delayed
  • Organize sample retains and manage offsite storage
  • Maintain sample storage organization
    Other Sample Evaluation (20%) Track complaint sample receipt
  • Perform sensory testing on retain samples
  • Evaluate samples from shelf-life studies
  • Prepare samples for tastings
    General Duties (10%) Attend meetings and presentations
  • Participate in company-wide activities
  • Handle administrative tasks (email, calendaring, expense reports)
    Qualification:
    Education: BA/BS in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
    Experience: Related laboratory experience
  • Food manufacturing and/or QA/QC experience a plus
  • Sensory/organoleptic experience a plus
  • Proactive approach and strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment ~
