Job Detail
- Perform troubleshooting activities to detect and resolve electrical connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximize equipment availability
- Testing and diagnosing power distribution equipment in compliance with safety regulations in a shop environment
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify electrical malfunctions or system failures, using appropriate tools and testing equipment
- Perform repairs or replacements of faulty electrical parts, wiring, connectors, relays, switches, and other components, adhering to the manufacturer’s specifications
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks performed, by logging in RentalMan rental tracking software
- Work with a variety of electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, circuit breakers, I-Line Panels, Load Banks, Auto Transfer Switches, Disconnects, controls, and distribution panels
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and longevity of electrical systems and equipment
- Monitor electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards or safety concerns, promptly addressing any issues to maintain a safe working environment
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, documenting performed tasks, materials used, and any necessary follow-up actions
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and advances in electrical technology through continuous learning and professional development opportunities
- Assist with general mechanical tasks and repairs as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike
- Support all team members
- Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols
Requirements
Proven track record with a minimum 1-3 years of electromechanical experience within theheavy equipment and/or construction markets preferred - Computer skills to support entering information into systems
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver’s license
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and regulations
- Experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina, as this role involve standing, bending,and lifting heavy objects
- Multi-Tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals
- Customer service focused
- Must react to changing business needs
- Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge od MS Office is preferred)

Pay Range: $21-$24/hr
