Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Removes brush and grass from the base of wood poles supporting electrical power lines - Rakes and clears brush and grass away from the pole area
- Handles all necessary repairs including the replacement of worn or damaged parts to chain saw and/or weed eater
- Applies chemical herbicide to right-of-way following brush removal
- Operates a chain saw and/or weed eater down to and at ground level
- Walks over rough terrain to reach poles that are inaccessible with pickup
- Works around moving equipment
- Works around excessive noise from machines with hearing protection
- Works in tight spaces – clear poles within an approximate 10-foot circumference
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older- Ability to safely operate company vehicle
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred- Entry-level position, previous experience is a plus
Pre-Screen:
Upon offer, employees be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check
License & Certifications:
A valid Driver’s license is Required
Travel Requirements:
Must have transportation to and from the show-up location- Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work
